Preparing a Stewardship Plan

Through the Oregon Department of Forestry’s Stewardship Program, many southwest Oregon woodland owners may be eligible for up to a 75% re-imbursement for the cost of a consultant-written stewardship plan. Plans are tailored specifically to a landowner’s property, their objectives, and good sound management practices. The typical out-of-pocket cost to the landowner is $250 – $500 after reimbursement.

Management plans contain thorough information describing the conditions on your property, while making recommendations for different options to help  landowners achieve their objectives. Plans are extremely useful and are often required for forestry assistance programs such as the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). For more information, contact ODF.
